In this presentation at Project Voice 2020, I talk to entrepreneurs, small business owners and voice app tech enthusiasts about why Small Business owners are a key audience in making voice technology at large grow. The Voice First world has basically focused on fancy AI and gamification apps, however, the real businesses who need voice are the simple, every day service based businesses. As Alexa and Google Assistant continue to collect millions of new users per year, most are still using the voice assistants for listening to music and podcasts. As users learn about Skills and Actions, however, they're certain to push their devices further and ask for more. This is where small businesses will demand to be found on voice assistants. In order to get found, they will create Skills and Actions that they'll promote. Doing so is easier than many think. This video gets into it a bit.

Paul Hickey, Founder / CEO / Lead Strategist at Data Driven Design, LLC and founder of The Voice Event, and The Voice Designer, has created and grown businesses via digital strategy and internet marketing for more than 15 years. His sweet spot is using analytics to design and build websites and grow the audience and revenue of businesses via SEO/Blogging, Google Adwords, Bing Ads, Facebook and Instagram Ads, Social Media Content Marketing, Email Marketing and most recently, Voice App Design and Development – Alexa Skills and Google Actions. The part that he’s most passionate about is quantifying next marketing actions based on real data.
