In this video, I talk with Jacqueline Hayes, of Crayons and Marketers, about Multicultural Experiences on Alexa and Google Assistant.

Her company conducted research in 2020 about how consumers use "voice-controlled products."

50% of the respondents use voice controlled products.
...of which, 32% were Alexa users and 25% Google Home...a sliver used Apple Homepod, but the market is dominated by Alexa and Google Home.

When drilling that down to age and ethnicity cohorts, you find that millennials are the generation most likely to use voice controlled products.

Among ethnic groups, Asian-Americans are the most likely to own and use a voice-controlled product and Hispanics are the least likely.

As brands try and get in front of today's consumer, Jacqui thinks this data is important because brands need to be tuned into how people consume information.

His sweet spot is using analytics to design and build websites and grow the audience and revenue of businesses via SEO/Blogging, Google Adwords, Bing Ads, Facebook and Instagram Ads, Social Media Content Marketing, Email Marketing and most recently, Voice App Design and Development – Alexa Skills and Google Actions. The part that he’s most passionate about is quantifying next marketing actions based on real data.
